Bay Building Company is a relatively new division of a company that has been established in the building community for over 50 years. We have built a solid reputation for quality craftsmanship and construction excellence as a customer-oriented company through our years in business with the continued pursuit into a new division of Residential Custom Home Building. With our home office located in Fairhope, AL, Bay Building Company is licensed in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi, though other areas are often explored as our client base continues to expand geographically.

MEEtJIMMY

As a licensed home builder for over twenty years, Jimmy Burckhartt serves as the Construction Manager for Bay Building Company, a division of Thomas Industries, Inc. Originally pursuing a career in medicine, construction gradually won his attention and it ultimately grew into the business of building houses, his true passion. With experiences in the custom home market, smaller tract home market, and other various business ventures, each home and homeowner are unique. Every project is different, each with their own challenges and personalities. These challenges create opportunities to learn new things that continue to fuel our ambition to be the best in our field. Jimmy has strong ties to his foundation, as husband to the love of his life and father to five children; his family fills his life with enjoyment and pride. When not getting your house completed for your move in, on weekends you’ll find Jimmy on the water or at one of his daughters' volleyball tournaments.
